Flex House is designed for the Pacific Coast Region. It has a large flat green roof and an arched main living space that is supported by bamboo I-beams. The walls and roofs are designed to be sheathed with rigid foam insulation. The exterior will then be covered with flattened bamboo sheathing and corrugated metal near the base of the structure. Flex house can be easily modified to fit the needs of small to large families.
You can customize the design. Expand a bedroom. Cover walls with woven bamboo and exotic ornamental designs. Skylights will fill each room with more natural light. You may want to use bamboo flooring on the living areas, tile in the kitchen and bathroom, and carpeting in the bedrooms. You may choose to have only one bathroom and expand one of the bedrooms.
Designs consider the building site so houses perform in the most challenging climates.
Skylights, cupolas and built in ventilation are encouraged in tropical and humid climates to brighten the interior with natural light and reduce dampness.
nsulation packages are available for buildings in hot and cold climates to meet energy codes, the customer chooses R-Values and insulation options.
Hurricane Strong packages are available to meet building codes in Florida and Caribbean with extra engineered braces in panels for safety margins required.
